presentation review blog
The experience of our first class presentations was one I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of! All 3 groups and chapters were fascinating to learn and discuss about. All 3 chapters touch on extremely important topics, and are about things that we all go through. Fortunately on every group's day to perform there were minimal technical difficulties, which gave everyone a good environment to present the best that they could! I believe everyone involved was probably put in a place that was out of their comfort zone at one point, especially since everything was online and not in person where things might have actually been a little more comfortable for everyone. Regardless of that, we all learned to confront and go through that big "uncomfortable" hurdle to make some really excellent presentations in the end! Interacting with others and being a group member is a critical skill people need to have in general, since at a point in time we will have to use that skill. It is safe to say I think the entire class had something to learn from this experience and all three chapters, even if it is something we may have heard before! Considering our circumstances, I don't think anyone or any group lacked anything in our presentations that we could've had if our class was in person.
I think every group did very satisfying work and were educative, clear, and spoke concisely about their particular subjects and chapters. I was actually extremely impressed with every group's presentations. The visuals went along perfectly with the explanations and topics! Every one did a particularly great job of keeping all of us engaged and interested in every one of their slides. The three presentations were all clearly very different and unique, and each had its own significant topic. Not only am I satisfied in my group's work, but the other two groups' really hard work shone through both of their presentations and groups members. The particular day of my group's presentation I was very happy with everyone's effort and preparation, which showed itself throughout every member's presentation that day. I definitely have no complaints about any group's presentation, they each were educational and insightful in their own way. No one's slide felt awkward, inconsistent, or out of place. I understood what everyone had to say and enjoyed finding out about everyone's knowledge on their specific subjects.
The first group presented Chapter 3, about intercultural relationships and communication. The group did an impressive job, especially since going first can be stressful when you're presenting. Despite all of that they did an amazing job explaining the concepts and educating the rest of the class. This particular subject is significant to everyone because everyday we interact with a diversity of people and cultures! I personally believe being aware of our world's variety of beautiful cultures is something everyone should focus some of their time on. Being open-minded and exposing yourself to the countless cultures around the world is a skill anyone could learn and work on in their everyday life. Learning about different cultures is something I personally really enjoy doing, and I actually believe learning how to interact with different people and their cultures is essential for humans to coexist happily. Presenting and public speaking even for me has never been easy, and it is different for everyone but everyone dealt with it in their own way and was able to present perfectly!
My group was second, and we presented Chapter 9. This chapter was about the communication that occurs between different types of groups. That subject was very relatable since we were literally experiencing it while we were learning about it! We did take our time getting to know each other, and everyone was able to figure out their duties and roles quickly. I think making each member responsible for their own slides gave enough space for everyone to focus and put out really good work. Luckily we were also able to give ourselves room for organization before we started working on our slides, so everyone was not confused or all over the place. Our interaction as a group was very comfortable and natural. We were fortunate enough to not experience any conflicts with anyone at all in our time together as a group. No one was afraid to speak up if there was any troubles or confusion, and everyone contributed their opinions about our work. Since we were all respectful and considerate, our group interactions together couldn't have gone better. I'm proud of all of my group members because they did super well at their jobs, did everything on time and the way they were supposed to. Not to mention we presented very smoothly!
The third group presented Chapter 10, which was about group leadership and problem solving. This group also had a wonderful presentation, and were really informative about their chapter and concepts. They also had no problem keeping the class engaged through their entire presentation at all. Leaders are an essential part of groups and activities, since without them the group could result in being extremely unorganized or ineffective. Leaders also have the most difficult position! It is definitely not easy to guide and keep your group engaged, or resolve group conflicts. Group leaders also have the job of running good meetings and making sure everyone is on task, focused, and not wasting the group's time!
Normally in high school while working on presentations I always felt apprehensive about it, and even if I was working in a group I did not feel like I had support from others. Sometimes group members would put bare minimum effort into their work and I was never satisfied with the presentation, but this was a totally different group work experience. Every one of my group members completed what was needed of them on time and their work was excellent! I personally enjoyed myself, and had a great time decorating and working on this presentation. I'm very proud of the way everything turned out and I'm proud of all the groups who participated! Even if everyone played a small part, we all came together to produce really great work. As a part of the audience, I also enjoyed every group's presentations fully. This experience has made me look forward to everyone's future projects and presentations!

Excellent post. I am so happy you are looking forward to more presentations with your group.
