Working with my team which is team 2 was  a great experience  we was able to connect with each other  we distribute or contact information we created a group chat.from there we was able to move a bit faster.working as a team can be very challenging  but lucky we made it easy.we worked well together each decision we made was very anonymous although  we places ourselves individually when it came to completing our separate part of the presentation. as a team member I believe  that we connected very well on an interpersonal level as all eleven of us was able to make great decisions together. we did not give each other no chance to get upset with each other  Becouse it would create a major conflict. there was an equal amount of work that we all did our contribution was very fair no one was behind.my team members was great at keeping each other informed. everyone in our group got everything on time we did not have to nag anyone to complete work...

“Presentation Blog Kelvin Portales”      I would never have imagined that work in group would be like the experience I had in the group two. I enjoyed being part of this amazing team of people working together in the same way. But not only my group because all the groups did a great job with their presentation, we learned so much from this experience. In my personal case I don’t like to communicate to much because I know that I have some difficulties when I talk in English, but I could at least give some of my knowledge about the topic.  There was a connection between three groups, the first one talk about intercultural communication, second one about communicating in groups and the last one about group leadership and problem solving.     First group did an impressive presentation in an easy way to understand. Intercultural communication is very important because today there are bilateral diplomatic relationship between many countries, withou...

Reflection on chapters presentations and chapters presented

To Begin, I want to start by reflecting on my group and this assignment. My assigned group was group two and I want to say that I felt quite comfortable working in this group assigned to me because I had a very positive experience with group two because first and most importantly we created a way to effectively communicate with each other which was by creating a group chat. In addition we as a group were able to effectively and fairly split up the group work and everyone agreed easily on most things despite the fact that there were disagreements on some things we all were able to get to consensus at the end. Therefore, everything in the group went by smoothly and everyone was also respectful with each other as well as collaborative. In my opinion, I thought that working in this group was going to be much harder not just because of bad group experiences in the past but also because we are virtual and the interaction between us as a group would not be the same as ...

Working with my teammates in Group 2 was an amazing experience. All of us worked together to make the presentation a great success. It was a rocky start due to the fact that we just formed, but after storming the objective of the assignment and who gets to do what, we all performed diligently and completed the assignment without too many holdbacks or issues. The members were able to help each other, ask questions, and ask for resources through Whatsapp. In this Chapter [9], I was able to learn about the different stages of a group, them being Forming, Storming, Norming, Performing, Adjourning, and Transforming. I also learned the different types of conflict that can affect the group, such as Psuedo and culture conflicts. Additionally, I gained a solid understanding of the different characteristics of what creates a healthy group, and the different types of group, including their nature. Looking at Group 2, I can confidently say that we are healthy...

Chapter 9 Presentation

In all honesty I was a bit skeptical of doing group work through online. I felt like the communication was not going to be there, maybe the lack of face to face would make me feel like I was working alone. Let me tell you how wrong I was. Working with Group 2 was an amazing experience, we had our own group chat where we all had one common goal. My peers in Group 2 were available at all times. When someone had a question or needed help with anything at all, someone was always there to help. I believe that is the epitome of a successful group. This day in age we have so much technology and the advancement in technology helps us get through any obstacles we get thrown at us. This was certainly a new experience and I am glad we were able to make this new online groups work. It is extremely important to learn how to adapt to certain circumstances, regardless of how out of reach it may feel. I learne...

The three chapters the whole class presented worked out great. All the groups put in an effort in communicating to each other to create great presentations. I personally enjoyed being part of group 2 since I was able to meet new people with great attributes, beliefs, and new cultures. At the beginning of group presentation, I was afraid of communicating online to others for help mainly for the reason of bothering other people when they might be busy, I didn't want to have a bad image of myself to the group. After needing help, I confronted my fear of bothering others and went ahead and asked through our group chats all the questions I needed to be asked. The whole group reached out to me, giving me all the help, I needed. In chapter 3 Group One discussed cultures and the communications inside of them. They also explained the relationship between dominant and cocultures, the seven dimensions in which cultures differ, and practice methods to improve intercultural communication c...

I have always hated working in groups. In my mind group work was the recipe for disaster; however, it turns out that I wasn't familiar with the functions of a healthy group. When the professor announced that everything was going to be done in groups I felt the tiniest bit of annoyance, but I was left with a great surprise. Although our current circumstances are not the most convenient my teammates and I managed to do an amazing job communicating with one another. Not only did we learn about all the steps and stages of group work, we got to experience it ourselves. Other groups did an amazing job as well and I am happy to say that I was able to learn a lot from their presentations. Each group covered a different chapter of the book and had to create a presentation that reflected the chapter assigned. There were no difficulties for our group  but if in the near future we happen to experien...

Jessica Orozco        The experience of our first class presentations was one I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of! All 3 groups and chapters were fascinating to learn and discuss about. All 3 chapters touch on extremely important topics, and are about things that we all go through. Fortunately on every group's day to perform there were minimal technical difficulties, which gave everyone a good environment to present the best that they could! I believe everyone involved was probably put in a place that was out of their comfort zone at one point, especially since everything was online and not in person where things might have actually been a little more comfortable for everyone. Regardless of that, we all learned to confront and go through that big "uncomfortable" hurdle to make some really excellent presentations in the end! Interacting with others and being a group member is a critical skill people need to have in general, since at a point in time we will have to us...

Class Presentation Review

I enjoyed working on the class presentations. I was able to have the great opportunity to work with group 2. Group two consisted of 11 independent students who were a pleasure to work with. Our group was very focused on making sure our work was done properly. Each presentation was very unique and stood out. I believe everyone did a great job putting together their slides and inputting their information to share. I liked how everyone was able to teach their own designated portion of the class textbook and explain it in their way. Watching all of the presentations was eyecatching because of the visuals. The visuals really made a difference because they made the slides seem more organized and decorated. I loved the creativity shown throughout the presentations. Everyone's slides were very...
